There are multiple ways to publish your content into your website. For automated publishing, we currently only support Wordpress (there are plans to add other CMS).

Connecting your Wordpress CMS

To connect your wordpress with Ranklytics, go into Settings from the left sidebar and click "Publish Settings". Click the Wordpress icon and proceed to enter your wordpress credentials.

Please note the username is for a user that has access to publish content, ideally an admin or editor.

For passwords, please don't use your user's password. You need to generate an application password for that user. Here are steps to generate an application password.

  • In your wordpress, go to Users > All Users

  • Click Edit for the user you'll use to publish content.

  • Scroll down to Application Passwords and enter the Application Password Name as "Ranklytics" and click "Add New Application Password".

  • Copy the generated password and use it below along with your username.

If you are receiving errors while connecting, it may be your REST API for Wordpress isn't enabled or is blocking Ranklytics to access. Its always best to consult your wordpress web developer.

Once connected, you can specify the status of the published content whether you want the content to be published in a draft status or whether you want it to go live and be available.

Publishing Options

You'll find options to publish your content in a few different place. One option in the Content listing page, you can click "Publish" from the menu inside each card. This menu is available by clicking the 2 dots in the top corner of each card.

You can also find the Publish button from the bottom of the Content Editor page as shown below.
