# Semantic Keywords

Semantic Keywords are related keywords to your target keyword that Ranklytics generates for you based on NLP (natural language processing) and based on most commonly used keywords by competitors who rank for your target keyword.

Adding these within your content gives better signals to Google about the overall topic of your article and helps improve your rankings not just for the target keyword but these additional keywords too.

You can easily add or edit keywords from the Semantic Keywords list. If there are keywords that you don't want AI to use then simply remove them by hovering over it and clicking the "x" icon that shows up next to it. Similarly, if there are keywords you'd like to add then simply click on "Add Keyword" and add the keyword.

Semantic Keyword will be generated in the language specified in your project settings.
