Creating a Project

The first step to start with Ranklytics is creating a project. Once you sign up, you'll go through the onboarding process where it will let you create a project. You can also create a project by clicking on the " + " (Plus) symbol from your projects page.

Clicking the + brings you to a New Project page.

Creating a project is a simple 3 step process as explained below.

Step 1 - Business Details

Start by entering your basic business details

Business name - Name of your business.

Website - Your website main domain name. If your website has a "www" and it redirects to a domain without "www", then its recommended to use the domain without it. Don't include http or https when entering the domain name.

Category - Select a category that best represents your business.

Location - Select the country you are targeting for SEO purposes. If you are targeting multiple countries, its best to create multiple projects each with different locations. The research data, keywords, search volume etc is all tailored to the country you select here.

Language - Select the language you want to create content in. Your keywords, content generation, stats etc will all be based on this language. If you are targeting multiple languages, please create separate website projects.

Description - Describe your business in 1-2 lines. This helps AI understand your business and create relevant content.

Step 2 - Competitors

Add a few competitor websites that you are looking to outrank. We'll analyze competitor websites and find keywords and other ranking opportunities.

We'll also show you relevant stats that you can compare with your competitors.

When adding competitor website links, please use main domains and avoid using http or https.

Step 3 - Keywords

This should already show you some keyword suggestions to pick from. Clicking on a suggestion will add them and clicking them again will remove them. Click "more" to see a full list of suggestions based on search volume, keyword difficulty etc.

In addition to selecting from the suggested list you can add your own keywords by typing in. Adding keywords here adds them to the project and Ranklytics will continue to track the rankings on it for you. It will also enable you to quickly use that keyword and write content for it.

Once you are done adding all the above information, Ranklytics generates an initial analysis of the website which includes -

  • List of Pages

  • Current Ranked Keywords

  • OnPage Fixes

  • Current Domain & Page Stats
