With Ranklytics you can easily research for more keywords that you could potentially be targeting. To do that, go the "Keywords" tab from the sidebar and click "Find More Keywords" button on the top
This will prompt you to add a keyword to search. The keyword you add here becomes your Seed Keyword.
Once you search for a keyword, Ranklytics will give you a list of suggestions around your main keyword along with 3 key stats -
Monthly Searches - This is the monthly search volume of that keyword in Google in your target location specified in the project.
Keyword Difficulty - This is a number from a scale of 1 - 100 that tells you how difficult it is to rank for this keyword based on competition. Higher the number, more difficult it gets. Typically anything from 0 - 39 is Low Difficulty, 40 - 68 is Medium and 69+ is Hard. We recommend sticking to Low and Medium unless you already rank for the Hard Keyword.
Paid Ads Competition - This typically shows the competition for that keyword for the Paid Ads position in google results. Higher the level, more expensive it will be to bid for these keywords for paid ads.
You can simply scroll through the list and click "+ Add" to add them to your project. If you are looking to get more information on the keyword such as User Intent, Semantic Words, Topic Ideas etc you can click on the keyword itself or click "Analyze".
Based on your plan you can only track so many keywords within your account. So while adding keywords, be mindful of that and feel free to track your usage from the Billing page.
You can manually add keywords to your project by clicking "+ Add Keywords" from your keywords page.
This opens up a modal that allows you to type in your keywords. Although optional, you can select a Seed Keyword you want to categorize the keywords you are adding in.
Once you add the keywords, Ranklytics will automatically try to find your current ranking for those keywords and other stats such as Search Volume, Difficulty etc.
Seed Keywords are used for you to cluster or group similar keywords into a bucket. This helps better manage long lists of keywords and also helps you focus your efforts on groups of keyword instead of 1 single keyword when writing content. Its easy to rank for other related keywords if you rank for 1 keyword in the group. When writing or generating content, around a topic use other related keywords in them.
You can add a Seed Keyword by clicking the "+" icon next to the word "Seed".
This opens up a dialog box letting you type in a seed keyword. You can add as many Seed Keywords as you like.
To delete a Seed Keyword, simply hover over the seed keyword and click the pencil (edit) icon which will open a dialog box. Click "Delete" from within that dialog box to delete the seed keyword. The dialog box also lets you edit the seed keyword.
To move a keyword to another Seed Keyword, click the 3 dots to the right of the keyword and select "Move to another Seed", this will ask you to specify which Seed Keyword you want to move it to.
You can get more details on any keyword by clicking on it from the list above. This will take you to a detailed report page that looks like the one below.
